Who are they?
Strelka is a Moscow-based postgrad educational institution and speculative urban think-tank exploring subjects that are of special importance to urban life in Russia and around the world: from the preservation of the past and demographic shifts in cities to the future of urbanism and virtual space.
Why are we collaborating with them?
There are few, if any, institutions that are challenging the concept of design and architectural education to the same degree as Strelka Institute. By bridging technology, architecture, design and business, Strelka has created a breathing-ground for systemic thinking talents. Therefore it is no surprise that the institution is often covered in popular publications like Dezeen, ArchDaily, E-Flux, The Economist, Wallpaper, New York Times and Designboom.
Collaborating with Strelka Institute is a unique opportunity for us to tap into their vast network of current and former students, world-renowned professors and diverse experts. It is also an opportunity to have some of the leading minds creatively approach our research pillars.
What are we collaborating with them on?
Together with Strelka Institute, we want to apply different formats of public programming to our Urban Congestion Exploration. Through open talks, invite-only workshops and experimental film screenings, we aim to create a series of conversations that engage new talent, inspire new concepts, grow our expert network and position the project in the field of urban development, architecture and speculative concept development.
